CHOOSE WITH CONFIDENCE
A better app checklist.
Not another top-five list.

Try the same small test
Open a question, make a mistake, pause, mute and leave. Ask whether the child understands the task and whether the interaction adds a manageable challenge. Test offline claims with your own device before relying on them for a journey.
Questions worth asking
- Can a child begin without an account, advertising interruptions or a purchase prompt?
- Can you explain what is collected, what stays local and how progress is erased?
- Does the activity practice the intended skill, rather than only a gesture or memory task?
- Can a grown-up read the prompt or offer objects when the fact is uncertain?
- Are sound, motion and stopping controls easy to find?
Keep the comparison honest
Availability, features and prices can change. Inspect the current store listing and the actual app rather than treating an old comparison as a promise. Little Learners’ native release is being prepared; our browser games and printable tools are available here now.
