ONE TABLE TODAY

Practise one times table without a sign-up

Use a chart, a few questions and a game around the same table.

Choose a table for a reason

Use this week's class topic or a set of facts your learner wants to understand. The 1–12 pages each include a chart and a worked strategy, so the choice has a useful starting point.

Try a short retrieval set

Open the practice tool with that table selected. Answer a few facts without the chart, then return to the chart for a reasoned correction. A missed answer is a place to look more closely.

Move to a game

The table page links to a focused claw-machine launch and to the wider game library. A different game can change the interaction while you keep talking about the same equal-groups idea.

TRY IT TOGETHER

One small example.

On the 7s page, use 7 × 5 = 35 to work out 7 × 6 = 42. Draw one extra group of seven, then try the fact again without the drawing.

Choose a table from 1–12

A learner’s readiness, school context and response matter more than a rigid age label. Take a break or choose a simpler representation when needed.

A small-step plan for learning times tables

Build a few useful facts, then connect the rest to what your learner already knows.

Make a multiplication game a thinking game

A game is most helpful when a child can explain the number decision inside it.
