Use an intensive pronoun for emphasis

The idea

An intensive pronoun emphasizes a noun or pronoun; removing it leaves the core sentence complete.

Step by step
  1. Find the person or people to be emphasized.
  2. Choose the matching self or selves form.
  3. Remove that word mentally: the sentence should still work when the pronoun is intensive.

Example

Add emphasis: I ___ checked every label.

Answer

myself

Myself emphasizes I. I checked every label remains complete without it.
