Match a whole printed word
The idea
Point to each letter from left to right. Matching words have the same letters in the same order.
Step by step
- An adult reads the target word aloud while pointing to its letters.
- Compare the first letter, then each remaining letter in order.
- Check the whole word: sharing one letter does not make two words identical.
